The smartphone is a touchscreen-only device expected to be a successor to the Nokia 5800 and X6 music-oriented devices.
The Nokia C7 is understood to come with a 3.3" touchscreen with a resolution that has been kept the same as that on all Nokia touchscreen devices, nHD at 640x360 pixels. The 640x360 display is capacitive in nature, and supports multi-touch according to the source.
One of the interesting features of the device is its 8 megapixel camera, with support for 720p HD video recording. The device also has a dual LED flash for low-light video capturing and photography.
The C7 will run on the upcoming Symbian^3 operating system, with the first smartphone from the Espoo manufacturer to run on this new system being the Nokia N8.
On the hardware front, it comes with a microUSB port, a 3.5mm jack, and a memory card slot. The device will be 3G-enabled, and support A-GPS positioning and navigation.
All that hardware has been packed into a slim 11mm profile which should make this a very good looking device.
