HTC Wildfire Coming to Australia’s Telstra

Australia Telstra HTC WildfireMELBOURNE, Australia - Telstra, the largest telecom network in Australia, is bringing the HTC Wildfire to the country.

The Wildfire is a very pocketable low-end Google Android smartphone. The hardware specification of the device include a 3.2" capacitive touchscreen, a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and an LED flash.

The device features an optical trackpad for easy navigation and editing of  onscreen text, it will run on Google Android 2.1 and is expected to receive the Android 2.2 Froyo update very soon.

The HTC-developed Sense UI is also present on the device.

Music lovers will appreciate the 3.5mm audio jack on the phone along with a memory card slot which will let them expand the handset's memory. The smartphone comes with one touch shortcuts to commonly-used services such as YouTube and Gmail.

Priced attractively, the HTC Wildfire will make a very good entry-level Google Android smartphone for the masses.
